COMING ADVENTURES: Australia and New Zealand in February 2020
Kay and I are Baby-Boomers; we are very typical of our generation. We worked since high school, married, bought a home, helped put the kids through college, lived through several market crashes, saved what we could over the years, down-sized to a condo, now it's time to enjoy ourselves.
Each person has their own view of enjoyment, for some it's golf, tennis or gardening. For others, like us, it is traveling and seeing the world. Since we love traveling and we accept many of our generation hesitate to get out of their comfort zone and leave the States, we decided to share our experiences. We will continue to post a detailed senior travel blog with many photos and videos we have taken. (links below) This hopefully will motivate others to see the world or at least new parts of the States.
Our senior travel Blog is geared toward the mature traveler and supplying some simple common sense tips and information to help make travel fun and relaxing. We have been able to visit Denmark, Luxemburg, Canada, Belgium, Estonia, Antarctica, Egypt, France, Italy, Argentina, Germany, Sweden, Finland, South Africa, England, Wales, Scotland, Spain, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Croatia, Netherlands, Russia, Mexico and Honduras. If we can do it, anyone can. Don’t delay just jump in and travel.
An important travel tip, be sure your passport is up to date. In most cases, you must have at least 6 months left to expiration in order to travel overseas.
Also, consider getting Global Entry and Known Traveler Status from Homeland Security for travel out of the country. This saves time and frustration returning to the U.S.
